Occasionally, well more often then not, I will find strange pictures on my camera shot by a mystery photographer who appears to be a little over three feet tall. My calculated deductions point to my sweet little Eve every time. Yesterday as I was going through and deleting her little additions to my camera a thought crossed my mind... "perhaps my daughter is not just a pain in the rump but is a budding photographer trying to exercise her creativity." So why don't you all be the judge. These are some of Evelyn's recent photos.
We begin with a self portrait taken in the mirror in my closet.

Next is a photo taken out of my closet window looking under the curtain at the neighbor's house across the street. Very creative I think, I would never consider such a shot.

This next photo concerns me touch since she had to walk down to the horse pasture, get into the horse pasture, shot several photos of said horses and then return home all without my knowledge. Now, what was I doing that I didn't notice this?

This is a picture of a bunch leis we got in Hawaii that were sitting on my dresser.

An action shot of the dog. I love that every picture is shot from only three feet off the ground. She sees the world completely differently then I do.
So what do we think... budding artist? Keep in mind I did edit out most of her work. For some reason the picture of the dirty swimming suit on the floor of the bathroom just didn't make the cut.

never stiffle a budding photographer!! (said by a photographer myself of coarse). Maybe what she needs is one of those kid proof cameras. Ya know the ones they show dropped down the stairs, in the fish tank, etc, and it still survives? I have no clue how much those suckers cost, probably take some saving... but i think the best of both worlds could be achieved. She doesn't touch your camera, but still gets to express herself?!? Good Luck, and I especially love the first picture of the giraffe!
What a great hobby to get into. That is great that she has found something that she likes and with digital, you can erase the ones you don't want to keep. What a cute girl, I would keep encouraging her.
Totally a budding photographer, I laughed out loud reading about her unbeknownst to you jaunt to the horse pasture!
I love her pictures too! Ethan has his own digital camera. It is a Vteck one that was super cheep, Around $20. And is kid proof. It even takes little video clips and stuff. He loves it. The quality is not great but he is a kid, doesn't care, doesn't know better and I am not printing them. It is for fun and keeps him off of mine~! Love the vacation posts! Sounds typical! Except the mice I would have screamed and been far away while Larry cleaned up the mess!!!
