Colorado

Lance and I ( and Elaina) Stole away for a long weekend to Denver and is was SOOOOO fun! I've made a goal this year to go to the temple more often. There are 4 different directions we can go to the temple all about 5- 6 hours away Denver, Salt Lake, Rexburg Idaho and Billings Montana. So I decided we would go ever quarter- so 4 times a year- and we would just make them a fun small vacations and temple trip. For our 1st trip we went to the Denver temple on this last Friday. I didn't get at picture of us in front of the temple. It was snowing and everyone was running for their car.

My best friend Shaunna from High School lives in Denver now. Even though she just had a baby 2 weeks ago 2 months early she still babysat Elaina for me. What a gal! We made plans before she had her baby who is now in the NICU but she was still willing to help me out despite her stressful life situation right now. Its so fun that its been 10 years since High School and we really don't keep that in touch but when we are together I feel like time really hasn't passed and we are still the best of friends. There are just a few people in my life that I keep with me no matter how far away we live and she is one of them. I searched all over for a picture of us from High School- apparently I've lost them all in all the moving I've done. But I did find this one. We are in our horrible dance team make up and with our high school boyfriends. All I can say is... wow my face is a lot fatter now. I'm just saying what everyone is thinking.

Here are some of the beautiful sights from our trip.
It was so fun! I loved Denver. Lance was a little worried about me since I didn't show any signs of missing the kids. I couldn't help it. It was just so nice to get in and out of the car without dragging 3 kids with me. I loved going shopping without kids running all over the store asking me for this and that or whining and complaining about when we would be done. We didn't have to worry about the kids schedules, getting them to bed on time, bathroom breaks or any of that. We didn't get to our hotel until 11:30pm! We were just out playing and eating dinner. We could of never done that with the kids. It was FANTASTIC!!!

Fun! Good for you for getting away and enjoying it, rather then pining for children, we still love them, it's just nice to have a break right? I'm surprised there is zero snow in the pictures...glad you had a well-deserved break.
