Yesterday was Eli's birthday. We started the day by fishing. Everyone caught a fish and it was so much fun. 
We went with Lance's mom and Uncle David. We bought the usual birthday doughnuts and fished too.

All the fish we caught were small but we still loved it. Eve thought her's was the pretties fish in the lake.
I always feel a since of nostalgia on my kids birthdays. I feel like its a big day for me. I spend most the day reflecting on their birth. A couple of times yesterday Lance and I said to each other... "so 7 years ago at this time we were....checking in the hospital..." or whatever. It seams kind of bittersweet remembering what a big day their birthday was for me... my life completely changed 7 years ago at this time.
I'm so glad we had Eli. Even though he makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes he is really a delight to have in our home. It was a great party and he really had a good time. We got him a new bike. Happy Birthday Eli!!

I can't believe how big Eli is! He looks so grown up! I can hardly believe that the little sunbeam that left our ward is 7! I sure miss that kid!
I love birthdays, but I hate to have to accept the fact that they're growing older...I wish I could keep them little.
